finally tomorrow gonna submit our cas project, so excited. first time used the accpac programme, starting have some problems because we weren't familiar with the system, but as we refer to accpac manual it is actually quite manageable. and also, the accounting practice set has simplified our work by a lot as the chart of accounts is given to us and the source documents are arranged nicely too, so it actually saved us quite a bit of time as we can just refer to the book and key in the necessary information into accpac system.

although there are 5 people in the group everyone gets his or her chance to use the system as we took turns to do the work, as only 1 person is able to use the system at a time, the rest would stand around the computer flipping through the accpac manual to look for solution, so everyone of us did learn something regardless of whether we are typing or not.

by using accpac system i learned something about the computerised accounting system as it is not as simple as the manual accounting system, which is just use pen & paper to write down all the entries. but the system did saved a lot of precious time and cut down the amount of work as we only need to key in the data once and it would be processed for everything we would need, such as the total amount & the trial balance. unlike the manual system which we would need to manually calculate the total & write out the data again when we need a copy of the trial balance. so i feel that it is a great opportunity & experience to have a chance to use accpac.
